NORDSTAR is governed by the Nordic Severe Asthma Network (NSAN) and chaired by Professor Celeste Porsbjerg, Copenhagen, Denmark. NORDSTAR is a unique research collaboration gathering Nordic key opinion leaders on asthma, data analytic experts from Quantify, Sweden and the pharmaceutical industry –Sanofi, GSK and AstraZeneca.
The NORDSTAR dataset includes register-based data of all asthma patients in four countries, enabling comprehensive longitudinal follow-up and unique opportunities of generating important real-world evidence in severe asthma.
The ambition of NORDSTAR is to improve everyday lives of asthma patients, by providing a better insight into the burden of severe asthma, better the understanding of the nature of severe asthma, and ultimately the potential for improving the prognosis in the individual patient.
